Yesterday I drove past an intersection and caught this man. It really shook me to the core. Is it really getting this bad?

It really is getting that bad. I just read that banks are now garnishing wages of people who can't pay their credit card or other bills. In Phoenix, these wage seizures are up 121% since 2005, and only around $200/week is protected from being taken. At the same time, changes to bankruptcy law – lobbied for by banks – mean that relatively few can afford to declare bankruptcy or use it as protection from wage garnishment. What I want to know is how long it will be until the number of people in dire straits is so high that destruction and looting begin in earnest, and will we stand up and fight the finance industry before that happens?
